A Very Happy New Year To You All

New year, new me.

Haha, nope.

I'm still the same as I was last year, and besides, who really sticks to their resolutions anyway?

As someone who would ask the Doctor to go back in time rather than forwards, I feel like you should look back over the past year and see what you have accomplished.

Because you'll have done a lot more amazing things that you'd have first thought.

My list includes:

  • started this blog
  • published my first novel
  • achieved some pretty great Mock results
  • done a lot of baking
  • been to America (this includes surviving on the Metro)
  • completing Silver DofE (involving a total of six days walking)
  • coming second in a school cooking competition despite forgetting my ingredients and the recipe (see my post about it here)
  • did work experience
  • won a science competition
  • moved house

I'm sure that they're more, but now I can look over this and be proud of what I have done. I have no resolutions this year: just hoping that this time next year I can be proud of as many things as I am now.

So, I invite you to comment on one thing that you're proud of for doing in 2018, instead of thinking about being more organised, giving up something, or getting good results in 2019.

Think of the past, don't panic about the future.
