Dancing Can Actually Be Fun (Who Knew?)!

Yesterday, I had my prom. I've been looking forward to writing a post about it probably longer than I've been looking forward to prom (this is mostly because I was fairly nervous about going to prom in the first place). And this post was going to be a slightly satirical account of my time: foiled by the fact that I did actually enjoy myself a lot. Pre-prom was fun simply because all my friends were basically just hanging out in my garden as various people did hair/makeup. The only unfun thing was that my sister kept poking me in the face when doing my makeup because she is evil and mean. I'm joking. She's lovely. She did my makeup and my hair. What bad things could I possibly say about her now? One of my friends actually started crying when she saw us, which was lovely because being told that you look amazing is wonderful, but it was also worrying because makeup and tears do not mix well. But we did all look beautiful, and I now have so many photos- some are nicel...

Outwit Your Friends (Only Possible If You Know Them Well Enough)

Hey guys! So yesterday, while we were going to Pizza Express for my sister's birthday (I got nice and travel sick, as you do), I remembered the rave that I went to a few years ago, and thought that I'd tell you all about it. At least, tell you about the bits I can remember. It was at least three years ago. But anyway- the rave! A rave, by the way, is apparently an organised dance party at a nightclub, outdoor festival, warehouse, or other private property. I mean, I guess the rave I went to was like this? It was a rave in Ely Cathedral (Rave in the Nave is a pretty awesome name, and never fails to make me laugh) so private property? And I did dance- on the Wii (we did Timewarp and it was amazing). There was music (and I guess dancing?) but I don't remember who played, or what they played- but I'm assuming it was Christian Rock, or something similar. What else was there? Well, I went with a friend, and we met up with some other people we knew. I remember ...

What Makes Something Really Interesting Is...

Hi! It's me again- how long has it been since my last post? Oops. Anyway, it was my friends birthday yesterday, and we had a party for her last night-this morning. I thought that she should get a shout out, because she's awesome and because it's the only interesting thing that's happened this week. Apart from my French Speaking Mock (is that interesting? I don't know). But we had a party, which isn't really my thing, although I did enjoy myself for at least a few hours (are you proud of me?) and I even danced! I know. Amazing. Also, isn't it weird how songs can remind you of things? Like 'Mr Brightside' instantly makes me think of my Silver DofE expedition, and 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' always reminds me of the New York/Washington DC trip. Or how 'You Give Love a Bad Name' (or anything by Lawson) takes me back to Saturdays before revision, when we used to tidy/clean the house while the music played at the top of the st...
