There's Always Tomorrow

Isn't it great when you wake up in the morning and just feel motivation and joy surging inside you? I love days like that (like today, luckily) although I also tend to drink too much coffee on those days and therefore have way too much energy that comes out by everything kinda trembling. My hands are possibly shaking a little bit as I'm writing this. Of course, the flipside of days like this are the bad days, where nothing really works and you have to fight back tears all the time and you just want to curl up in your pyjamas and sleep. I had a day like that yesterday. Unfortunately. I think it was partly due to the fact that I'm a little anxious/stressed (the thought of results day fills my stomach with dread). But today's post isn't a 'how-to guide' in order to get through bad days. Nor is it a request for sympathy, as I know that everyone feels bad once in a while. I suppose that it's more of a reminder that not everything is bad all the time. ...

Reading the news is not all it's cracked up to be

Okay, so I've been meaning to write another blog post for ages now (sorry about that) but I just haven't had the energy. Or the ideas. Ideas are always important for a blog, especially as I like to talk about social issues because, let's face it, where else am I going to share them (it's not like anyone at school really listens)? But what has happened recently in the life of myself? Well: I've published 11 books in total now! *cheering* If you have bought a copy, make sure to leave a review after reading it (please, of course). I saw 'The Favourite' at the cinema with my friend last weekend. Was it good? Yes, well-acted and darkly humorous (just the way I like it). It also ended on a slightly odd note, so we left the cinema in a state of confusion. College applications are being reviewed and sent out, which is fun and terrifying and feels really quite weird. Yeah, that's probably all the update you need. Nothing really exciting has ...

Exams

I have spent pretty much the whole day revising for my Ethics GCSE tomorrow, which was fun. And as it is coming up to the dreaded 'Exam Period', I thought that I'd write something about them. Mostly because I can't think of anything else to write about, but whatever. Revising takes up a LOT of time, time that I'd rather spend doing something else. For example, right now, I'd love to be able to edit my novella, The Forgotten Ones, so that it can be published before I am sixteen (or sixty, at the rate I'm going), but no, I have spent my day trying to think up arguments for why Jesus did not rise from the dead. That's really hard for me, by the way, as a Christian who obviously believes that Jesus did rise from the dead. But yeah. I have a list of stuff to do in my head that gets bigger each day, but instead, I have to spend all day revising. And the worst part of exams isn't the days spent doing revision, when I could be doing something else....
