I Have The Answers To (most of) Your School Questions

Hi everyone- I'm back!

I'm so sorry that I haven't been published a post for ages, but I have an exciting one (at least I think it's exciting) planned for Sunday (so keep an eye out) but it needs a bit of research and careful planning, so that's why I'm not doing it now.

Also because I'm doing English Literature revision (poetry) and I need to focus on that.

So, what's new with me?

Well, as I stated in the title, I feel like this blog has an element of informing people about Sixth Forms/Year 11 (at the moment, at least), and I wish to add to this.

Remember my post about visiting two different Sixth Forms (if not, I have you covered: first post and second post)? Well, after a long process of applying to the grand total of two colleges (including writing a personal statement (ugh)) I have a 'guidance meeting' soon with one of them (still waiting to hear back from the other one).

A guidance meeting is NOT an interview (apparently) and is a place where the college can make sure that I know what is involved with doing the IB (or maybe warn me that I'll have no social life for the next two years?).

That's happening soon, but nothing else has really happened (I'd be an awful lifestyle blogger, honestly), so it's bye for now- make sure that you read my post on Sunday!

Carers Week

Hi everyone! It feels like it's been ages since I last posted anything (or really wrote anything for that matter) but hey, exams! Anyway, this week (11th-17th June) is Carers Week, so I thought that I'd do some raising of awareness for Young Carers. First of all, shout out to my friend for standing up in assembly to talk about this, and for all those who ran the cake stall at school (they raised £69!). She's so amazing, and most of the following information comes from her. I Find Out A Load About The Railway Industry

Heya friends! I've been up to quite a lot recently (including finishing Draft One of my Maths coursework yesssss) and today, I decided to do some researching about women in the railway industry (to be fair, this is for a challenge badge but also I am interested in female empowerment and the state of equality/lack of in the railway industry is an excellent indication of general equality in Britain). So yeah. I found out a load about the railway industry and now you can too! At the birth of the railway near the beginning of the 19th Century (around the 1830s), the industry was structured in such a way to mirror how society worked. This meant that fathers and sons would follow each other into the industry while the women would become wives and mothers.
