Warning: If You Don't Like Blood, Stay Away (But Only For The Second Half of the Post)

Good afternoon, all, and what a finely cold day it is! I am actually fairly surprised that I can type this well as I have not been able to feel my hands for about 2 hours now (although I did spend those two hours making flashcards for Physics, so there may be something there about what physics does to someone...). News about NaNo: I wrote 5494 words yesterday (woah) and I am now back on track! I will fall behind once again this week, most likely, but I know now that I can do it. :) I am very happy about this (don't know if you could tell). So here is a thing that I wrote a few days ago about doing IB compared to doing A-Levels (but it's not the thing that the IB teachers tell you about how IB is better because it makes you more well-rounded and stuff). The thing that I have noticed about the difference between my A-Level doing friends and me (the IB person) is that they are so easily throwing around what grades they are getting and what they need to get. You can see why: ...

No!! Don't Pass The Beach Ball To Larry...Larry's a Narwhal!

Happy last day of GCSEs!! For most of us. Not me, because I do Add Maths. And not for people who do German. It's sad. But, for me anyway, Add Maths doesn't really matter and so I'm 'celebrating' today. My mum and I went out for lunch- I had an amazing lemon meringue pie, which always reminds me of when I made it in a food class. Then we went to W.H.Smiths and I now am the proud owner of two new books and a fluffy notebook with an adorable picture of a narwhal on it. I love narwhals. I have narwhal socks that are glittery. Narwhals are great. I mean, who couldn't love this beautiful creature?  Oooh! Speaking of narwhals, have you read 'Why The Whales Came' by Michael Morpurgo? It's one of my favourite books by him, I think, alongside 'War Horse', 'Private Peaceful' and 'Running Wild'. Anyway. Onto politics.  No, I'm just going to say that I don't know exactly who I'd like to become our next wonderful l...

Voila, with a Shiny New Post

So exams have well and truly started (yay) and my friend still told me that I needed to update my blog, and voila! Hope you're happy, friend. ☺️ Exams done: French Reading/Listening, Biology 1, English Lit 1. To be honest, I think that they all went okay, for GCSEs. It still doesn't feel like I'm doing actual, proper exams though. Will it ever? I don't know. Maybe when I get my results. But that's ages away, and besides, I still have two more exams this week alone, so revising it is. Fear not, however, for I am having rests and tea breaks (lots of tea breaks, because I love tea). I've been watching TV- like Ghosts (on BBC iPlayer) which was created by the old Horrible Histories cast, and also the new Taskmaster episode (I was actually crying with laughter yesterday when we watched it, which is, of course, better than just crying). And tomorrow, as I go on Study Leave (which will be weird, no?) I will be hopefully going on a run. I mean, I could get u...

Today was Eventful

Well. Today was eventful. Not. For those of you in my school, and for those of you who may have studied or are studying GCSE Geography, you will know what I am talking about (maybe). For those of you who didn't or don't: we went on a *nice* trip to the beach (Walton-on-the-Naze) to look at the coast. In all fairness, it is for part of our exam, because one of our topics is about coasts and it forms part of our case study questions, but it was a slight waste of my time. The beach itself was pretty unimpressive (but most English beaches are) and I spent more time on the coach (yay: I so do love coaches) than doing any fieldwork. And, of course, we got swarmed by seagulls because someone (I'm looking at you, people from my school) kept feeding them. To be honest, I'd rather do English Language, or Maths, or even my Food coursework (that is due rather soon and I have to cut down on so many words- aghhh). Virtual Reality should have been the way to go today...
